North Cascade Highway

November 1, 2012

I took Highway 20 (or the North Cascade Highway, as it’s known) to get to Mazama for Jessie & Adam’s wedding. I wanted to stop and snap photos every 5 minutes, but I couldn’t because I hadn’t budgeted enough time to get stop before getting to Mazama on time. Dang it. I did stop once on the way up, at a photo outlook spot for lunch. Then, on the way back, I came down a hill to Diablo Lake and had to stop. The sunset, the teal blue lake, it was too much.  The second to last photo, which I’ve posted before, will probably end up on a nice big print in my home. It’s too stunning not to print up. Or maybe one of the other Diablo Lake images. I’ve yet to decide. Any suggestions??

Also, some “housekeeping notes”. I plan on offering a limited number of prints of my travel images soon. I’m hoping to have things up and ready before Thanksgiving. Each print will have a limited run, so if you have an image that you love, please let me know. I’m still deciding what sizes I’ll be offering and where I’m getting them printed, but I’m very excited to get my art off the computer and onto some walls!

The website will probably be down sometime in November for a makeover, to add the section on prints and give it a fresh look for 2013. I haven’t decided when or for how long, but hopefully it’ll be quick and I will let you know before it happens. And while it is a way off, the holidays are coming. I still have a few spots open for my November 17th mini sessions (email me or shoot me a message in the contact form). I’m also booking a limited number of full sessions between now and Christmas, before taking some time off in early 2013.

xoxo,

Emily
