Tomorrow is April and I need something green and spring-like on the blog. I didn’t mean to take a hiatus from blogging for so long! Between moving into the house and a nasty cold, I’ve fallen a bit behind. But the sun is shining and I thought, I need to share this beautiful tablescape now.
Alyssa, the lovely lady behind Belle Journée Events, asked me to shoot a table design she did for the Spokane office of Event Rents. Every month, they have a different designer create a tablescape for their lobby. So I got to tag along and watched Alyssa set up (taking mental notes for future parties). Alyssa’s fresh green centerpiece had me hankering for spring even though it was freezing cold outside. It’s the perfect rustic chic table design, and manages to be fresh and spring-like without any flowers. It was a blast to spend as much time as I wanted photographing the table. During weddings, I sometimes only have a few minutes to grab table shots before guests come in. This time, I could take as much time as I wanted — and I did!
While we were there, Quincey (one of the kind people at Event Rents) even gave us a tour of their warehouse. I didn’t take a single picture, but it’s crazy huge. Stacks of chairs and tables, rows of linens, and shelves upon shelves of dinnerware. They have all different kind of fun stuff — everything from tables and chairs to sofas and wine glasses. In fact, I was tempted to ask if I could buy some of these lovely vineyard chairs at the table because I want them for my own house.
