I was doing so well, and then I got sick and busy and the blog was neglected. Don’t worry, it is at the top of my list and I have some fun stuff to share with you in the coming weeks.
First up – really quickly – I was featured in a surprise to me post on Apple Brides today, on a list of 8 of their favorite local photographers! They had such sweet sweet words to share, so now I feel even more like I want to blog again soon.

It’s been nearly three years since I became a vendor on Apple Brides, and I finally sat down to update some of my information on the site. But, it’s such good stuff (and it took me FOREVER to write it!), that I wanted to share it with you here too.
I talk about how I became a photographer, what draws me to weddings, and most importantly, what my dream wedding couple is like. Spoiler alert: it’s not about the details! :)
You can check out the full interview here, and while you’re there, see some beautiful Inland Northwest weddings.
A couple weeks ago, I met up with a few photographer friends and Mariah here, and we took photos in downtown Spokane. Like the dork I am, I took a bunch of film photos, but this was the only digital frame. I can’t wait to get the film developed!
This week, I wrote a post for Apple Brides with some more Tips for Clients. I wrote another piece to explain what those pesky photography terms mean. You can see it here.
Have a great weekend!
This weekend was wonderfully sunny. I wore shoes without socks. I played bocce in the park. I opened the windows and let a fresh spring breeze into my house. It’s almost like spring is here, and I’m getting closer and closer to wedding season. Today I’m working on looking though all the amazing wedding giveaway entries, and I’ll be announcing the winner later this week. I’m really excited for this, but I know that it’s not going to be an easy decision.
A couple weeks ago, two of my wedding couples were featured on the same day. Laura & John’s beautiful St. Aloysius and Commellini Estate wedding was featured here locally, on Apple Brides (click to see the feature). Sarah & Ron’s backyard wedding with A Couple of Chef’s catering was featured on Boho Weddings (click to see the feature). One of my goals has been to go outside my comfort zone and submit to wedding blogs that I’m not as familiar with. It’s pushed me to look beyond the blogs I normally read, and in turn, I’ve found some great sites. If you love backyard weddings, or weddings in tipis, or sweet British weddings, you’re going to love Boho Weddings!
Thank you again to my amazing clients for letting me capture their wedding day!
I’m so excited to share this! My sweet little inspiration shoot that I posted a couple weeks ago was on Apple Brides this week. Check it out!
