It’s been six months, so you probably don’t even remember how, back in February, this beautiful shoot was featured on Artfully Wed. I said I’d blog a few of my favorites in a few weeks. Well…a few weeks turned into a few more than a few weeks and now I’m basically just going to shove this out here before it’s cold and dreary again.
I’m the boss and I get to do what I want. ;)
This shoot was entirely the brainchild of the ladies behind Red Letter Event Planning – Robyn and Jessica – and my only contribution was to suggest we do it in the evening when the light was pretty. Oh, and to photograph it. I cannot thank them enough for putting this shoot, with such a talented vendor list, together. If you’re looking for a planner in the Inland Northwest, I highly recommend Robyn and her team!
The idea was to showcase the beautiful space at the Red Lion Templin’s Hotel in Post Falls. Did you know they have beachfront property on the Spokane River? I didn’t! They also rent stand up paddle boards. So what do you do when your “bride” is a paddle board rockstar (only slightly exaggerating here) who grew up in Hawaii? You put her on a board, of course.
With touches of navy and hot pink, this twist on a traditional nautical theme is truly, sophistication on the river. Plus, I loved Robyn’s idea that, if you don’t want to switch from a ceremony to a reception dress, why not have two bouquets? So we had a traditional, white bouquet for the ceremony, and a beautiful hot pink one for the party.
See all the fantastic vendors at the bottom of the post!
