Y’all, this is a long one! I tried to cut it down and I just can’t do it. Not sorry at all. Jessi sent me an email a couple months before their wedding, and told me that Natalie and Sam had sent me to them. Just from Jessi’s first emails, I knew that I was going to adore her and Tim. And then, we got a chance to meet up in Seattle and chatted about all different things, but especially our shared love for the Methow Valley. The Methow Valley is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and I truly believe that the people who love the Methow Valley share an unspoken bond.
A couple weeks before their wedding, I got a worried email from Jessi and Tim, because they were concerned about all the smoke in the air from the fires. It was really bad, and I was a bit worried too, but they made a back up plan, and we crossed our fingers. The winds changed, and the rain fell just a few days before their wedding. It was cool, but the air was fresh and clear. We were bummed about the grey skies, but in true Mazama fashion, the skies cleared and we got to skip around in the beautiful, soft mountain light that we all love so much.
Jessi and Tim had a few surprises up their sleeves for their guests, including birthday cakes for a few friends whose special days were right around (or on!) their wedding day, and a line dancing lesson. And, right as I was leaving, they did a surprise second dance as a married couple. You can bet that I pulled my camera back out of my bag and snapped a few photos!
Thank you, Jessi and Tim, for allowing me to once again come to the Mazama Ranch House. Your wedding brought so much joy to my life, and I feel so lucky to have met you both. Thank you also to the amazing vendors (at the end of the post!) that I get to work with time and time again in the Methow Valley. They are truly some of the best at their jobs and the most wonderful people.
