Whenever I’d meet up with Maranda and CJ, we’d talk for a few minutes about their wedding plans, chat about whatever photography details we needed to handle, and then we’d talk for ages about pets! Maranda is studying to become a veterinarian, and she and CJ love pets, so we chatted about cats, dogs, and the elephants Maranda got to meet on her trip to Thailand the summer before their wedding.
(I just have to say, getting to give an elephant a bath shot up to the top of my travel goals once Maranda showed me photos from her tip to Thailand.)
Anyway! These two are the sweetest of souls. They met way back in elementary school, started dating as teens, and are the kind of couple who finish each others sentences. Maranda and CJ stressed that they wanted their wedding to be about their friends and family, and having a good time. And that’s what their day was like! Their wedding party had me cracking up laughing one minute, and choking back tears with their sweet toasts. Maranda wore her grandma’s wedding dress, which she had altered to fit her, and it looked amazing! They decided to get married at Cannon’s Edge on Greenbluff, and we had the most beautiful sunset views at the end of their perfect, summer day.
Maranda and CJ, thank you so much for choosing me to document the start of your marriage! It was wonderful to photograph your wedding. Thank you to all your sweet friends and family who made my job so easy!!
