Happy 2014! Before I recap my favorite shots of 2013, I wanted to share this beautiful styled shoot I did for Apple Brides back in October. I know I briefly mentioned it, but I never got around to blogging it more. But what better pick-me-up than a beautiful sunny post on a week where we’re all thrown off by the mid-week holiday?
This gorgeous shoot was all set up and styled by Melissa of Apple Brides. If you’re a Spokane area bride and you haven’t seen their site, I highly recommend it! When I arrived at Camden Ranch, Melissa took me on a quick tour. Almost before she was done, the rain started coming down. We quickly covered everything and decided to wait it out. In true Spokane fashion, it wasn’t long before the weather changed! The rest of our afternoon passed in the same manner: wait for the downpour to stop, then shoot. Had I known it was going to pour, I might have worn more sensible shoes. Instead, I wore my cute little canvas shoes and had to wait days until they dried out. I’ll be keeping extra shoes in my kit from now on!
I’ve got a list of our amazing vendors at the bottom, but I have to give a special shout-out to our shoot venue, Camden Ranch. It is one of the most beautiful facilities I’ve ever seen, and they were great help all day when Melissa, Sabrina (our model), and I tried to keep everything and everyone dry. We only shot outside at the facility, but their indoor area is fantastic as well. The owners really took every detail into consideration when they built the event facility and it has fantastic getting ready rooms, a wonderful kitchen, and so much more. We shot in a few places on the property, but there were so many little nooks we didn’t even get to.
One of the benefits of shooting in the rain? Rainbows!
