This is how I know I’m crazy: less than 24 hours after having a baby, I sent my husband out with my parents to have dinner and check on our pets. N was asleep in the bassinet, and I was tired. That’s what happens, I guess, when you have a baby in the middle of the night. And when the room was empty and still, I grabbed my camera (which I packed while I was in labor because I’m a crazy camera lady) and snapped a few photos of N. Then I proceeded to forget that I’d taken those photos for a few weeks, until my mom reminded me that I was going to send baby announcements. Oh, yeah. When I pulled them up to edit them, I fell in love with my little girl all over. Here she was, so tiny and new! So fresh and peeling and sweet! I wanted to capture those moments for other families too.
Aiden’s mama, Korina, answered my model call, and I got to photograph this sweet little new baby at Holy Family Hospital right before our trip to Germany. And then I cried a little, because this little guy made my girl look so BIG! Korina and Tony, thank you for trusting me with little Aiden. He’s absolutely precious, and I hope that these photos remind you forever of those first, sweet, sleepless days when you spent all your time snuggling one.
If you’re interested in having me document your new little one, get in touch through the contact form, or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have space for one more portfolio session (the sooner, the better!) and I’m offering discounted session fees through the summer.
